Emily Gooch made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Lucy Maxon was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Maria Bowers was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
