Mondovi scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 71-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elk Mound Mounders. The defeat continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their matchups with the Mounders: they've now lost five in a row.

Mondovi's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Elk Mound, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mondovi will face off against Eleva-Strum at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Mondovi is facing Eleva-Strum at the right time seeing as Eleva-Strum is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Elk Mound, they will head out on the road to challenge Boyceville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Elk Mound knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Boyceville likes a good challenge.
