The P.K. Yonge Blue Wave will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Interlachen Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. P.K. Yonge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
While P.K. Yonge's victory against Hawthorne wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Wave skirted past the Hornets 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Blue Wave in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won five in a row.
Colt Kramer was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Cooper Schackow also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, while Interlachen put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Crescent City. The Rams blew past the Raiders 10-0. Considering the Rams' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Cason Turner made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Interlachen let Jose Garcia and Justin Lockhart run wild. Garcia went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Lockhart went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
P.K. Yonge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Interlachen, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. P.K. Yonge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Interlachen struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
