There's no place like home for the Baldwyn Bearcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against Biggersville by a score of 47-40 on Thursday. For Baldwyn, this counts as revenge for the 59-31 loss Biggersville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Baldwyn's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayriah Warren led the charge by scoring 13 points. Another player making a difference was Keniah Burt, who scored ten points.
Baldwyn pushed their record up to 8-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Biggersville, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
Baldwyn won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tremont at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Tremont comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Biggersville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tupelo Christian Prep on January 26th. Tupelo Christian Prep's defense has only allowed 6.3 points per game this season, so Biggersville's offense will have their work cut out for them.
