The Rouse Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Liberty Hill Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rouse will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rouse beat Leander 41-36. Given Rouse's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Leander is ranked 288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Devin Brown and Amarie Haywood were among the main playmakers for Rouse as the former scored 14 points and the latter scored 14 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jojo Moore, who scored five points along with six assists and three steals.
Liberty Hill has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Cedar Park 53-48.
Rouse's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Liberty Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.
Rouse strolled past Liberty Hill in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 56-37. Will Rouse repeat their success, or does Liberty Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
