The Edgewood Academy Wildcats can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Evangel Christian 55-22 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Edgewood Academy has posted since December 8, 2023.
Leading Edgewood Academy to victory were Madison Martin and Lindsey Brown. Martin scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Brown scored 21 points along with six assists and six rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Edgewood Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Avery White, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Evangel Christian still got an impressive performance from Hannah Benson, who scored nine points.
The victory (which was Edgewood Academy's fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-3. As for Evangel Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewood Academy will take on Evangel Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evangel Christian is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for they, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Southern Christian at 12:30 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Southern Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
