Waukee has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 12th. They fell just short of the Southeast Polk Rams by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Waukee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Southeast Polk are ranked 31st).

Waukee's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Southeast Polk, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waukee will host Indianola at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southeast Polk, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Newton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Newton will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Southeast Polk surely won't give up without a fight.
