The Legacy Longhorns will head out on the road to square off against the Eldorado Sundevils at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Legacy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Legacy posted their biggest win since January 2nd on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 68-37 victory over Del Sol on the road. Given Legacy's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Del Sol is ranked 80th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Legacy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rahjon Chambers, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Nasir Cazares, who scored 14 points.
Eldorado suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Virgin Valley by a score of 51-49. Eldorado has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Eldorado, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Legacy against Eldorado when the teams last played back in February of 2020 as the squad secured a 80-48 win. Will Legacy repeat their success, or does Eldorado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
