Johnson has gone a perfect 5-0 against Foothill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Johnson took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Florin 18-2. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Leticia Gonzales and Kayla Madison were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Gonzales pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Madison tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Gonzales earned two runs and three stolen bases, while Madison went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave Madison a new career-high.
In other batting news, Valicianna Collins-Hogan was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Naomi Quiroz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Johnson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Foothill got the win against Burbank on Wednesday by a conclusive 17-2.
Oralis Vasquez Mendoza was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Mercede Averett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs.
Johnson pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Foothill, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Johnson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .461. However, it's not like Foothill struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Johnson took their win against Foothill when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 17-1 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
