The Chicago Sullivan Tigers suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 72-42 loss at the hands of Chicago Washington.
Andres Luna was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Petty, who scored 12 points.
Chicago Sullivan's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7. As for Chicago Washington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicago Sullivan will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alcott at 5:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Chicago Washington, they will head out on the road to take on Horizon Science Academy-Southwest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Horizon Science Academy-Southwest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Chicago Washington likes a good challenge.
