Metamora extended their road winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Jaiduan Cranford. The Redbirds simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the East Peoria Raiders 63-20 with plenty of help from Cranford, who rushed for 181 yards and six scores on only 15 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
Metamora's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for East Peoria, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Metamora is set to square off against their familiar foe Dunlap at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East Peoria will challenge rival Pekin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
