Meanwhile, Laramie stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They put the hurt on South with a sharp 54-32 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Laramie.
Thunder Basin's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-8. As for Laramie, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Thunder Basin was able to grind out a solid win over the Plainsmen when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 59-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Thunder Basin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
