The biggest upset of the week belonged to Osceola, who defeated 151st ranked Drexel, 37-14. Driston Self threw for 29 yards and ran for 193 yards during the win.
The Indians scaled the state rankings by moving to 143 from 195 this week, the biggest jump in Western Missouri. Osceola climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Bobcats 37-14.
Archie's dynamic duo of Dakota Jones and Kale Wheeler proved to be unstoppable against Greenfield, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jones threw for 106 yards and Wheeler had 75 yards receiving. Ceaser Sigart helped Archie's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 25 yards.
The Whirlwinds' dynamic duo of Jones and Wheeler proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Wheeler was the best wideout in the league this week as Archie fell to Greenfield.
Self was the best running back in the league this week. Josh Keene also contributed to the rushing game with 76 yards on the ground.
Jones put up the best numbers through the air as Michael Toschi's team fell to Aaron O'Laughlin's team.
Self was a passing and rushing force as Paul Carney's team beat Drexel.
Rich Hill's Cole Heckadon and Jacob Thompson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Western Missouri in both passing and receiving yards. Heckadon has thrown for 327 yards this season, while Thompson, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 15 catches for 287 yards. Self from the Indians leads the league in rushing with 629 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Tigers' Thompson goes up against Osceola's Self.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Rich Hill and the Indians face off next week.
Next week's game between Heath Heckadon's team and Osceola will feature an aerial matchup as Heckadon tests his arm against Self's defensive ability.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Midway takes on the Bobcats. At the moment, the Vikings are in first, while Drexel is in third.
Midway extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Appleton City, 42-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Vikings.
