Prospect Ridge Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Kent Denver on Thursday. The Miners blew past the Sun Devils 7-1. Considering the Miners have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Liam Schilling made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Schilling was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Josiah Bote was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Greyson Brady, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
