After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Bishop LeBlond brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Penney Hornets on Tuesday. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Bishop LeBlond got a massive performance out of Jake Winkelbauer, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those RBI were Winkelbauer's first of the season. Chase Kissel was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Bishop LeBlond's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Penney, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Bishop LeBlond will take on Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Penney, they will square off against Marceline at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.07 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
