If the El Dorado Christian Buffalos were riding high off their 74-49 takedown of Center Place back in January, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. El Dorado Christian took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Heartland on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to El Dorado Christian of the 45-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Heartland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Stone, who scored 21 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Martinez, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
El Dorado Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Heartland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-7.
El Dorado Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heartland, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Christ Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th.
