The Plainfield Quakers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Mooresville Pioneers at 7:45 p.m. on January 19th. Plainfield can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They blew past Northview, posting a 76-44 win on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Plainfield has managed all season.
Plainfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Schmidt, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Noah Smith was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mooresville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Columbus East on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 67-61 win.
Plainfield pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.33 points. As for Mooresville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Plainfield skirted past Mooresville 50-48 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plainfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
