The Mount Si Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Redmond Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Mount Si will be looking to keep their 26-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Mount Si can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They claimed a resounding 82-55 win over Issaquah on the road. Given Mount Si's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Eagles are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trevor Hennig was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Blake Forrest, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten assists.
Redmond aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Monday extended their overall winning streak to three. They walked away with a 71-59 victory over North Creek. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Mount Si is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Redmond, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Everything came up roses for Mount Si against the Mustangs when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 89-59 win. Will Mount Si repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
