The McNair Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at home by a decisive 42-26 margin. McNair lost against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 56-12 score last time.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Louis Stodghill, who picked up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown. Jeremy Victor was another key contributor, throwing for 211 yards and two touchdowns.
Gavin Walker was a one-man wrecking crew for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy as he rushed for 105 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Walker was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Fenix Felton, who gained 98 total yards and a touchdown.
McNair's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.
McNair does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy will be staying on the road on November 11th to face off against Union County at 1:00 p.m. on November 11th. Union County will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
