The Harvey Hornets won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 68-28 loss at the hands of Westhope/Newburg. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Harvey has scored all season.
Walker Braaten was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals for Westhope/Newburg. That makes it three consecutive games in which Braaten has scored at least a third of Westhope/Newburg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Tolstad, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Harvey has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Westhope/Newburg, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Harvey will be playing at home against Drake/Anamoose at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Drake/Anamoose is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Westhope/Newburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
