The Lauralton Hall Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to Guilford. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lauralton Hall in their matchups with Guilford: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Lauralton Hall still got an impressive performance from Maura Bosse, who scored 15 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Landin, who scored 17 points.
Keira Reynolds was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with seven steals for Guilford. That makes it three consecutive games in which Reynolds has scored at least a third of Guilford's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Kukta, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Lauralton Hall has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Guilford, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lauralton Hall is on the road again on Monday and plays Law at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully Lauralton Hall focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for Guilford, they will head out on the road to challenge Lyman Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Guilford is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Lyman Hall is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
