A Season-Best Performance from Bobby Rogers Leads Tom Bean over Wolfe City
On Friday, Tom Bean had to settle for second even though Bobby Rogers put up the best numbers he has all season. Rogers rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He has become a key player for Tom Bean: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.
If the past is any indication, Rogers could be in store for another big game when he takes on Nocona on Friday. When Rogers last faced the Indians back in October of 2023, he threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Big Game from Davis As Wolfe City Won 28-27
Hd Davis continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 11th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 102 rushing yards. He rushed for 305 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards.
The victory (which was Wolfe City's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Davis and Wolfe City will head out on the road to square off against Whitewright at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Zane Fuentes Turns in Season-Best Effort
Alvord was led to victory by Zane Fuentes, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Fuentes rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
Whitewright had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Fuentes it was a similar story. Fuentes rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Maguire Poole put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He picked up 35 receiving yards, and also rushed for 30 yards.
For the year, Poole has averaged 31 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 15.13 receiving yards per game.
