North Gaston gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the East Gaston Warriors to the tune of 66-19. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wildcats had established a 39-point advantage.
Jaleila Littlejohn had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double with 37 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ranya Watkins, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.
Despite the loss, East Gaston still got an impressive performance from Kayla Maiers, who posted seven points.
Coming up, North Gaston will host West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Gaston, they will head out to face off against Mountain Island Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
