Basketball Recap: Kinston Piles Up the Points Against South Lenoir

Kinston won the last time they faced South Lenoir and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Kinston Vikings took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-25 victory over the South Lenoir Blue Devils. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

South Lenoir's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Campbell Price, who posted four points. Mariah Allison also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Kinston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for South Lenoir, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-21.
