After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vanoss, the Clayton Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-39 victory over Mill Creek. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Clayton also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2017.
Clayton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Layton Brown, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Brown also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Tyler Clemons was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Clayton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Mill Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Clayton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kinta at 8:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024. Mill Creek will be home for the holidays to greet Stonewall at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stonewall is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
