The San Elizario Eagles's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 40-18 margin over Fabens. That result was just more of the same for these two, as San Elizario also won the last time the pair played back in January.
It was another big night for Maya Contreras, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of San Elizario's points. The team also got some help courtesy of walker Jayden, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
San Elizario's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-17. As for Fabens, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.
San Elizario will head out on the road to face off against Austin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Austin is coming into the game with five straight victories at home, so San Elizario is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Fabens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
