Melba is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Vision a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Melba Mustangs will welcome Vision at 5:30 p.m. Melba has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Cole Valley Christian hit Melba with a ten-run seventh inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers.

Cooper Brooks put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Colter Bodily was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mike Lester, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Vision couldn't beat Marsing on Wednesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the fourth inning. Vision came up short against Marsing, falling 24-7.
Payton Williams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Vision's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Melba, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
Melba took their win against Vision in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 21-5 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do Vision have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
