Adding to the longest winning streak in Greater Dakota this week, Lincoln beat O'Gorman 28-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Roosevelt took down Brandon Valley 65-35 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Lincoln's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Isiah Roach threw for 79 yards and Trevor Naasz had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Caden Quintanilla chipped in 114 yards. Dylan Bartow helped Lincoln's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 25 yards.
Aaron Beavers' team's dynamic duo of Roach and Naasz proved to be unstoppable against the Knights, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bartow helped Lincoln's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 25 yards.
Quintanilla was a passing and rushing force as the Patriots topped O'Gorman. Quintanilla's favorite target this week was Naasz, who caught 3 passes for 30 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Connor Burchill and Quintanilla, Lincoln has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Burchill is tops in the league in passing with 1,117 yards, while Quintanilla has rushed for 1,644 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Rapid City Central's Josh Dotson, with 504 yards on 32 catches.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Patriots and the Rough Riders. Lincoln enters the game ranked first in the state, while Roosevelt ranks second.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Patriots take on Kim Nelson's team. Lincoln has allowed 122 points this season, while the Rough Riders have given up 137. The Patriots allowed 0 points last week as they bested Steve Kueter's team.
Roosevelt made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 842 from 1,273. The improvement was the result of a 65-35 victory over the Lynx last week.
