The Carolina Academy Bobcats won against the Whiteville Wolfpack last Friday with 39 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Carolina Academy made off with a 39-38 win over Whiteville. The win made it back-to-back wins for Carolina Academy.
Whiteville's loss came despite strong showings from Elayzia Dawson and Serenity Harvey. Dawson scored 17 points along with 5 steals, while Harvey dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Dawson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ceonna Dennis, who scored 5 points.
Carolina Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Whiteville, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Academy will take on King's Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Whiteville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Brunswick at 6:00 p.m.
