Mayflower and Atkins are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Eagles will head out to take on the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mayflower is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
On Monday, Mayflower made easy work of Dardanelle and carried off an 11-1 win.

Ruby Otts was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Bronwyn Brown was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Monika Goodnight also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Mayflower was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .560. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Bigelow typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Atkins proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 5-2. That three-run margin sets a new team best for the Red Devils this season.
Presli Boger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Azzy Ketchum was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Serenity Duvall was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
The victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Mayflower, their record is now 8-9.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mayflower has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .464. However, it's not like Atkins struggles in that department as they've averaged .454. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mayflower beat Atkins 8-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
