The Keystone Wildcats will challenge the Norwayne Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Keystone sitting on three straight wins and Norwayne on six.
Keystone took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Avon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eagles 8-7.
Macie Banks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kyriana Grahn was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Kaylie Scott was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, while Norwayne put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Lexington. The Bobcats came out on top against the Minutemen by a score of 5-0.
Abby Workman made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Workman was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025.
Workman wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Piper Moore, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Keystone's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Norwayne, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Keystone has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Norwayne struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
