Adullam House Christian Academy lost against the Glen Iris Baptist Swordsmen back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Adullam House Christian Academy took a 62-43 bruising from Glen Iris Baptist. While losing is never fun, Adullam House Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Glen Iris Baptist is ranked 126th).
Despite the loss, Adullam House Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Sam Hamby, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. Hamby has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Buckelew, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Glen Iris Baptist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Dickey, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. Joshua Everett was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six assists and four steals.
Adullam House Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Glen Iris Baptist, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
Adullam House Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Brooklane Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Brooklane Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Adullam House Christian Academy likes a good challenge. Glen Iris Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
