The Euclid Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. Their rough 83-60 defeat to Strongsville might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Euclid in their matchups with Strongsville: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Euclid had strong showings from Darrien Davis, who scored 15 points, and Thai Duncan, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season.
Euclid's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Strongsville, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
Euclid will be playing at home against Mentor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mentor has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,133 points over their last 13 matches. As for Strongsville, they will take on Wooster at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Strongsville is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wooster in Ohio (Strongsville is ranked 50th, while Wooster is ranked 492nd).
