After a string of five wins dating back to last season, the School Without Walls Penguins's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-18 loss at the hands of Jackson-Reed. School Without Walls has not had much luck with Jackson-Reed recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Jackson-Reed was led to victory by Josiah Massaqoui and Jayden Fort. Massaqoui scored 12 points, while Fort scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcel Lane, who scored eight points.
School Without Walls' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-1. As for Jackson-Reed, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. School Without Walls' road trip will continue as they head out to face Ballou at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (Ballou is ranked 15th, while School Without Walls is ranked 12th). Jackson-Reed won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bishop McNamara at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. One thing working in Bishop McNamara's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
