After a string of six wins, Regis Groff's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fruita Monument Wildcats.
Estrella Bustamantetia-Mejia paced Regis Groff's offense, picking up three kills. Bustamantetia-Mejia got some help from Brenda Bangala and her six assists.
Fruita Monument can attribute much of their success to Parker Clarke, who had 13 assists and six digs. Clarke is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. Elly Englehart also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Regis Groff's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Fruita Monument, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
