Two dominant  guards in  Michael Timpano and  Tahj Jones are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The East Lyme Vikings will head out on the road to  take on  the Windham Whippets at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Given that  the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  match.
 Last Friday, East Lyme had to suffer through a rough  76-43 loss at the hands of the Saints. East Lyme was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  37-17.
 Meanwhile, Windham's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Tuesday after their fourth straight  defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a  tough 77-55 walloping at the hands of New London. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Despite the  loss, Windham had strong showings from  Jones, who  scored 16 points along with five  assists and five  rebounds, and  Malcolm Hunter, who  scored 15 points along with two  steals and two  blocks. Jones is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's  played.
 East Lyme has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Windham, they now  have a losing record at 7-8.
 East Lyme came up short against the Whippets in their previous meeting  back in January of 2023, falling  58-48. Can East Lyme avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
