Lipscomb Academy entered their tilt with Sevier County on Saturday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They slipped by the Sevier County Smoky Bears 66-65. 66 seems to be a good number for the Mustangs as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Lipscomb Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Sevier County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.

Lipscomb Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-63 win against West on the 30th. As for Sevier County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hardin Valley Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
