The Hempfield Black Knights will be playing at home against the Chambersburg Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Hempfield pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-58 to J.P. McCaskey. Hempfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Chambersburg's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cumberland Valley.
Hempfield has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Chambersburg, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5-1.
Hempfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Chambersburg in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, sneaking past 49-47. Does Hempfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chambersburg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
