After flying high against the Hadley Luzerne Eagles on Monday, the South Glens Falls Bulldogs came back down to earth. South Glens Falls lost to Queensbury on the road by a decisive 52-37 margin on Thursday. South Glens Falls was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Queensbury apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
South Glens Falls' loss came despite strong showings from Jordan Wolfe and Bailee Wolfe. Wolfe scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, while Wolfe scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Even though they lost, South Glens Falls were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Queensbury only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Queensbury to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dyllan Ray, who scored 23 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The game was Ray's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shea Canavan, who scored 12 points along with nine steals and eight assists.
South Glens Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Queensbury, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Glens Falls will take on Scotia-Glenville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Queensbury, they will play host again and welcome Hudson Falls, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hudson Falls will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Queensbury is ranked 41st).
