Marie Philip's loss came about despite a quality game from Xavier DeLeon, who scored 36 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. DeLeon is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Riebe, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Boston University Academy put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season last Wednesday. They put the hurt on Commonwealth with a sharp 53-28 win. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but Boston University Academy was the (much) better team in the second half.
Marie Philip's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2. As for Boston University Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Marie Philip was able to grind out a solid win over Boston University Academy when the teams last played on January 4th, winning 54-43.
