The Wagener-Salley War Eagles came into Tuesday's match having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 46-34 win over Ridge Spring-Monetta on Tuesday. The victory was just what Wagener-Salley needed coming off of a 44-19 defeat in their prior game.
Wagener-Salley's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wagener-Salley will take on the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the War Eagles in South Carolina (the Trojans are ranked 117th, while the War Eagles are ranked 282nd). As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. North is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
