Baseball Recap: University Academy Charter Comes Up Short

If University Academy Charter was feeling good fresh off their 13-7 takedown of Ruskin last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gryphons fell just short of the Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Gryphons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

University Academy Charter has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Lincoln College Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Looking ahead, University Academy Charter will welcome North Platte at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln College Prep, they will head out to challenge Center at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 12.1 runs per game this season.
