The McCreary Central Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Scott Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Last Friday, McCreary Central came up short against the Cardinals and fell 51-38. While losing is never fun, McCreary Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Cardinals are ranked 66th).
Meanwhile, even though Gibbs scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, Scott still came out on top. Scott enjoyed a cozy 80-65 win over the Eagles.
McCreary Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Scott, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
McCreary Central came up short against the Highlanders in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, falling 61-55. Can McCreary Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
