After flying high against the Dayton Christian WARRIORS last Monday, the Milton-Union Bulldogs came back down to earth. Milton-Union fell just short of Covington by a score of 45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Milton-Union has suffered yet this season.
Milton-Union lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jenna Brumbaugh, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Berberich, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Milton-Union's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4. As for Covington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
Milton-Union will be playing at home against Bethel at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Bethel is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Covington, they will head out on the road to square off against Lehman Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
