Estill County have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Boyd County on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. Estill County is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
There's no need to mince words: Estill County lost to Western Hills two weeks ago, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 15-50. Estill County were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-41.
Meanwhile, Boyd County were able to grind out a solid victory over South Point last week, winning 23-13. The Boyd County offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the match anyway.
Boyd County's win lifted them to 2-0 while Estill County's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Boyd County can add another positive mark to their record or if Estill County can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Boyd County's step.
