Marion never let their opponents score on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings as they made off with an 11-0 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory last Thursday.

Marion is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Vinton-Shellsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-23.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 14th. Vinton-Shellsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
