After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Monday, the IDEA South Flores Owls came back down to earth. IDEA South Flores took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Varsity Opponent on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
IDEA South Flores' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vashon Philips, who scored 10 points. Tito Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
IDEA South Flores' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Varsity Opponent, the last time they lost on the road was back back in October. Having now won seven straight away matches, they've pushed their record up to 79-328-3.
IDEA South Flores does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Varsity Opponent is on the road again on Monday and play against Prairie View Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 4th. Prairie View Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
