The Kelliher/Northome Mustangs stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Littlefork-Big Falls 84-12 at home. Winning may never get old, but Kelliher/Northome sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kelliher/Northome got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kate Thayer out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Thayer is crushing the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ella Thayer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Kelliher/Northome has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Littlefork-Big Falls, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-20.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kelliher/Northome will take on Laporte at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Littlefork-Big Falls, they will head out on the road to square off against Fond du Lac Ojibwe O at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Littlefork-Big Falls is coming into the match with 15 straight defeats on the road, meaning Fond du Lac Ojibwe O will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
