The Vanguard School came into Monday's game looking for another win against Manitou Springs, but Cohen Barrett wouldn't allow it. The Manitou Springs Mustangs walked away with a 47-39 win over The Vanguard School Coursers on Monday for which the team can thank Barrett, who posted 16 points in addition to six boards and five assists. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Despite the loss, The Vanguard School still got an impressive performance from Josh Alade, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Bregard, who had 11 points and seven boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Manitou Springs and bumps their season record up to 15-6. As for The Vanguard School, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 15-5 record.

Manitou Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-53 loss against Salida on the 28th. As for The Vanguard School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 74-45 win against Woodland Park on the 25th.
