HEARTS for Jesus Christ's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josh Longo led the charge by going 6-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and three steals. Longo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josh Aten, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy posted their biggest victory since January 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 64-38 margin over Mountain View Christian Academy. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Conquerors: they've now won three in a row.
Faith Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore JP Harris, who posted 20 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. That's the most steals Harris has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Altier, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.
Faith Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Faith Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for HEARTS for Jesus Christ, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: HEARTS for Jesus Christ has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Faith Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
